X-rays are a type of radiation called electromagnetic waves. When used for medical purposes X-ray imaging can create pictures of the inside of the body. The images show the parts of the body in different shades of black and white. These images may then be interpreted by the radiologist to help them diagnose, monitor, and suggest treatment for many medical conditions.
An ultrasound scan is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your body. These images may then be interpreted by your doctor to identify normal cell development or see problems with organs, vessels, and tissues without needing to make an incision.
BUSINESS-to-BUSINESS (B2B) CLINICIAN REQUEST / REVIEW PORTAL
Spectrum Radiology Services Inc. also offers a unique fast, seamless, secure request and review portal. Clinicians may log on to the portal using individual credentials and request an examination. The request information is relayed to relevant parties, with a confirmation email sent to the requesting clinician.
Spectrum will confirm and schedule the appointment with the patient and, on completion of the examination, upload the radiologist's report to the portal. These reports may be accessed online via the portal and printed as required. Clinicians only have access to information on examinations which they have requested.
The use of this portal allows us shortens the time between request and diagnosis allowing clinicians, on review of the submitted report, to recommend necessary treatments in an earlier timeframe.
Physical reports and images are also given ensuring that patient and/or clinicians have both digital and physical records at their disposal.
